The Sky Cafe is a good quality squirrel-proof feeder that also features a large seed capacity and 360-degree visibility. The large 17" dome is designed so squirrels are unable to climb on to the feeder and also serves to protect the seed from rain and snow. Cardinals, chickadees, tufted titmice, woodpeckers and many other songbirds gather on this circular, full-view patio. It is particularly suitable for cardinals who prefer larger areas to perch on. Customers tend to be very loyal to this feeder. Its large capacity 1.5 gallon hopper means fewer trips to refill. "I purchased this for the cardinals. I load this with safflower, and purchased the dove guard attachment, and it's almost exclusively cardinals feeding from it. Sparrows are plentiful late in the summer, so they too will visit it occasionally, but the Cardinals are at this feeder, often for long periods of time from dawn to dusk. Easy to assemble and easy to fill, with a long chain to adjust your hang height. Doves would push out the safflower from my hopper feeder, and caused a lot of wasted seed, but not with this Sky-Cafe. I recommend the dove guard attachment. It easily attaches with zip-ties and the guard works great. Doves don't even try to land, nor have I seen a grackle, starling or other larger bird, attempt to land."
"Specifically needed a feeder to attract cardinals and grosbeaks which typically require a tray for perching. This feeder is well built, attractive (as much as a feeder can be), provides great overhead protection with the easily positionable canopy. Took no time for the birds to source this feeder. Feeder holds good volume and the multiple finch and sparrow species enjoy as well. If there was a drawback, it would be that the doves also enjoy this feeder but they have to eat too! Easy to clean. A solid 5-star feeder IMO. Would buy another."
