Which Birds Are Featured, and How Does the Clock Sound Them?

The clock features high-end authentic recordings of twelve species, with one song playing at the top of each hour: American Robin, American Goldfinch, Pileated Woodpecker, Black-capped Chickadee, Blue Jay, Common Loon, Baltimore Oriole, Purple Martin, Eastern Screech-Owl, Northern Cardinal, White-breasted Nuthatch, and Bald Eagle.

Why a Light Sensor Was Added

The clock's light sensor deactivates the hourly bird songs when the room goes dark, so it doesn't keep sounding overnight once the lights are off.
