Description
Description
Window Alert Leaf Medley is a set of five transparent, UV-reflective static-cling decals from Songbird Essentials, designed to help birds see windows and avoid flying into the glass.
How the UV Coating Makes Windows Visible to Birds
Millions of wild birds are killed each year flying into windows they don't perceive as a barrier. Each decal carries a component that reflects ultraviolet sunlight, invisible to humans but glowing like a stoplight to birds, whose vision is up to 12 times better than human vision. That contrast is what alerts birds to the glass in time to avoid it.
What's Included in the Leaf Medley Set
The set includes five decals in a leaf medley. Three larger leaves, in Elm, Oak, and Maple shapes, each measure approximately 4 inches across. Two smaller Aspen leaves each measure approximately 2 inches across.

Applying and Maintaining the Decals
The decals go on outside, untinted glass only, not on tinted window film:
- Space decals every few feet, ideally in groups
- Clean the glass with water first, using warm water in winter
- Press the backing side of the decal against the glass
- Keep decals out of reach of children
- Restore static cling later by rinsing the decal in lukewarm water
The UV coating fades over time depending on sun exposure and local elevation, so decals are generally replaced every 9 to 12 months.
Millions of wild birds are killed each year flying into windows. Now you can help reduce this loss of life.
