🌇 Princess Point - Eagle Day
📅 Saturday, June 20th at 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
📍 Meeting Spot: 335 Longwood Rd N, Hamilton, ON L8S 3R8 (Parking Lot/Canoe Launch)
🚶 Walk Details:
1.2km Looped Trail. Some Incline and chances for muddy conditions
🌿 Walk Description:
Join us at Princess Point on Eagle Day, for a chance at sighting Bald Eagles, Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets and more! We will be walking around the water on Princess Point Trail looking for feathered friends and wildlife. One of our store managers will be present to lead that day.
🅿️ Paid Parking is available at $3/hour or $15/day if you want to enjoy the wonderful park area Washrooms are not on-site. Potential PortaPotty on site. Please no dogs and no smoking
🎒 What to Bring: Please dress appropriately for our short hike with an emphasis on comfy shoes, sunscreen, bugspray, binoculars/camera, water bottle, and a smartphone with Merlin installed.

La Salle Park - Great Canadian Bird Walk
📅 Tuesday, June 30th at 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
📍 Meeting Spot: 39-841 Lasalle Park Rd, Burlington, ON L7T 4G9 (Please proceed to the lower parking closer to the boats and water, our walk starts by the boat launches)
🚶 Walk Details:
2.5km Looped Trail. The trail proceeds along the water, turns into a forest hike at the turnaround after an incline, and you are brought back to the Marina via a loop
🌿 Walk Description:
Join the Urban Nature Store team at LaSalle Park in the Burlington/Hamilton area. We will be observing birds of the Great Lakes, forest birds, and delightful birds such as the Baltimore Oriole. One of our store managers will be present to lead that day.
🅿️ Free Parking available at the Marina and additional free parking at the LaSalle Park Banquet Center. Seasonal Washroom available by playground and sports fields. Please no dogs and no smoking

🌿 Beginner Birding Walk at Riverwood Conservancy

📍 Meeting Location- 4150 Riverwood Park Lane, Mississauga, ON L5C 2S7
Join Program Director Derek Stone for a free guided birding walk and discover the basics of birdwatching. Learn how to identify birds by their sounds, colours, shapes, and sizes while exploring one of Mississauga’s most beautiful natural areas.
This program is suitable for all ages and experience levels. Along the way, we'll identify the birds we see and hear, and you'll receive a bird list after the walk to help continue your birding journey.

- Moderate difficulty
- Upper trails are relatively easy and accessible
- Lower trails may include slopes, uneven ground, mud, or slippery conditions
- Waterproof, sturdy footwear is recommended

- Bug spray
Please dress for the weather. This is a rain-or-shine event, unless severe weather conditions are forecast.
