In southern and eastern Ontario, Urban Nature Store's ten local stores sell bird feeding supplies, from seed and suet to feeders, poles and bird baths. Most product pages on the store's website show how many units each of the ten stores has in stock, so you can check that the store nearest you has what you need before you drive there. Outside those areas, the same supplies ship anywhere in Canada.
Where Are the Bird Feeding Supply Stores Near You?
Urban Nature Store's ten locations are spread across five areas of Ontario: Etobicoke, North York, Mississauga, Markham and Thornhill in the Greater Toronto Area; Pickering and Oshawa in Durham Region; Ancaster in Hamilton; St. Catharines in Niagara; and Kingston in Eastern Ontario. Addresses and hours for each one are on the store locations page.
How Can You Check Whether a Store Near You Has an Item in Stock?
Most Urban Nature Store product pages list a stock count for every location, plus a separate count for home delivery. Checking that list before a trip shows which nearby store has the item on the shelf.
Stock levels vary a lot by product. On November 4, 2026, for example, the Armstrong Birder's Choice Suet Cake showed between 24 and 40 cakes at every store, while the Songbird Heated Bird Bath showed one each at only three stores: North York, Pickering and Thornhill. In the same snapshot, Sunflower Hearts showed 100+ bags at nine of the ten stores, so everyday seed and suet are easy to find, while larger or seasonal items are worth checking first.
Can You Order Online and Pick Up at a Store Near You?
Yes. You can order on the website, choose a store for pickup, and collect the order in store or at the curb. Most pickup orders are filled within 3 hours, and the store phones or emails when the order is ready.
A store showing zero stock doesn't always rule out pickup there. Urban Nature Store's product pages note that pickup is still available at a location with no stock if the item is available for home delivery, so an order can still be collected there.
Which Bird Feeding Supplies Can Only Be Picked Up in Store?
Larger seed bags are often picked up only. Sunflower Hearts, for example, ship in a 4 lb bag, while the 6, 25 and 50 lb bags are for store pickup. A few pieces of hardware are also pickup only, such as the Pole Mount Disk Squirrel Baffle, and heavy items like the 80-inch feeder pole set carry a shipping surcharge that doesn't apply when you pick them up.
What If There's No Store Near You?
If none of the ten stores is close enough to visit, you can order from the online store for delivery anywhere in Canada. Orders over $125 ship free, and the same 45-day return policy and price match guarantee apply online and in store.
