You can buy sunflower hearts online from Urban Nature Store, which ships a 4 lb bag anywhere in Canada and lets you order the larger 6, 25 and 50 lb bags online for pickup at its ten Ontario stores. On November 4, 2026, the store's sunflower hearts averaged 4.96 out of 5 across 520 customer reviews.
Which Sunflower Hearts Bag Size Ships to Your Door?
The 4 lb bag is the only size of Urban Nature Store's Sunflower Hearts that ships. The product page lists it as home delivery only, at $15.95 in November 2026, and it ships anywhere in Canada.
The 6, 25 and 50 lb bags are store pickup only. They can still be ordered online, but you collect them at the store you choose at checkout.
Can You Order a Large Bag Online and Pick It Up?
Yes. Choose one of the pickup sizes on the product page, select your nearest store, and collect the order there. The product page shows a stock count for each store: on November 4, 2026, nine of the ten stores showed 100+ bags, and the Thornhill store showed none.
A store showing zero stock doesn't always rule out pickup. Urban Nature Store's product pages say pickup is still available at a location with no stock when the item is available for home delivery. Store addresses are on the store locations page.
How Many Bags Does It Take to Get Free Shipping?
Most Canadian orders over $125 ship free. At $15.95 a bag, eight 4 lb bags of sunflower hearts ($127.60) clear that threshold on their own, while seven bags ($111.65) fall just short.
Adding other supplies to the same order is the other way to reach $125. One option that pairs with sunflower hearts is Happy Garden No-Mess Mix, a shell-free blend whose product page lists four ingredients: sunflower hearts, peanut halves, dried cranberries and raisins. Its 6 lb bag is listed for home delivery only, while the 7, 25 and 50 lb bags are store pickup only.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does "home delivery only" mean on the 4 lb bag?
It means the 4 lb bag is the size sold for shipping, not for store pickup. If you're buying in store or ordering for pickup, the smallest sunflower heart bag is 6 lb.
Are fine sunflower hearts sold online too?
Yes. Urban Nature Store's Fine Sunflower Hearts are finely chopped sunflower hearts, sold as ideal for finch feeders. Like the regular hearts, the 4 lb bag is listed for home delivery only, and the 6, 18 and 50 lb bags are store pickup only.
Can you return a bag of sunflower hearts bought online?
Ask before sending it back. Urban Nature Store's returns policy accepts items within 45 days in their original condition and packaging, but it also lists perishable items as non-refundable and doesn't say whether seed counts as perishable. If the order qualifies for free shipping, the outbound shipping cost may be deducted from the refund.
