Bowmanville Horticultural Society

Wednesday, October 18, 7:30 pm Trinity United Church, 116 Church St., Bowmanville Paul Oliver, Co-founder of Urban Nature Store, will be the guest speaker at the Bowmanville Horticulturalist Society meeting on Wednesday, October 18. Paul's presentation will focus on How To Attract Songbirds To Your Backyard. Paul will also highlight some of the steps humans can take to help wild birds survive our cold harsh winters.

Applewood Garden Society

Thursday, October 19, 7-9 pm St. Luke's Anglican Church, 1513 Dixie Road, Mississauga Paul Oliver, Co-Founder of Urban Nature Store, will be the guest speaker at the monthly meeting of the Applewood Garden Society. This presentation will focus on using different types of feeders, plants and landscape designs to help attract birds to one’s backyard and the importance of making birds feel safe and comfortable in our man-made environment. Paul will also talk about how to help our birds survive the coming winter months. Guest are welcome (there is a $5 fee for guests).
