Placement Guidelines

Hang the feeder in a location where you can enjoy close-up bird watching—trees, decks, fences, garden areas, or near windows.

Important:
Maintain at least 18 inches (47 cm) of clearance around the feeder. This ensures squirrels must climb onto it, activating the weight-sensitive closing mechanism. Nearby footholds may allow squirrels to bypass the system if clearance is insufficient.
