In-Shell Peanut Feeder

"Love it! The day it arrived I filled it with peanuts, the next day it was already half empty! I looked at my backyard camera & the Jays were coming non stop, even bullying the Cardinals away. Very happy overall, made of metal, doesnt hang too low so as it wont tip & fall in high winds, peanuts dont easily fall free, birds love it too!"

"Not really good for inshell peanuts. If the peanuts are super small then they can get them out but larger ones cannot make it through the holes and they end up pecking the seeds out and leaving the shell."

"Sturdy all metal in shell feeder. These seem hard to come by and while in general I like this feeder, it would be better if the centre pole was attached to the lower tray with a bottom screw. Birds love it."

Use Rotating Hook to Hang if Expect Squirrels

"Purchased mainly to divert squirrels from other bird feeders. Discovered however that needed to use rotating hook between stationary hook and feeder lid, which is secured with a nut with an O ring through it, as when squirrels (particularly black/grey squirrels) worked at getting un-shelled peanuts they caused the feeder lid to unscrew from the rest of the feeder. For the price this is a decent feeder but would suggest the manufacturer needs to work on better way of securing lid to the body of the feeder. Grackles and red winged blackbirds enjoy feasting on the peanuts when the squirrels are trying to ransack the feeder."

Maybe with time!

"The in-shell peanut feeder is well built. I was really hoping to get Blue Jays coming to my backyard with this feeder. They are in the neighborhood but we are a few streets down from where I normally see them. Maybe with time they will come. I hope so. So far no birds go to it."
